House of the Dragon fast forwards six years from episode 7 to episode 8. The Sea Snake, Corlys Velaryon, is wounded fighting in the Stepstones. His brother, Ser Vaemond, petitions King’s Landing to name him as Corlys’ heir, proclaiming Rhaenyra’s son, Lucerys illegitimate. Rhaenyra and Daemon return to the capital to defend Lucerys’ claim. Viserys is in even worse shape than before. Viserys makes mention of Aegon the Conqueror’s dream about the Prince That Was Promised. Does House of the Dragon lean to heavily on the original series. Is the actor that place Prince Aemond too old to play a young adult? Will Aemond and Daemon duke it out at some point?
